(PSF)
The Bright Star Team has selected the verse in Proverbs 22:6, “Train
up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not turn
from it” as a guiding verse in their ministry. How
do you see the team fulfilling this verse? |

MERSIN
: Well first showing them that there is a God that created all the earth
and created them. And
to show them how to go to this way because that’s our purpose,
that’s why we are created -- to have a relationship with God.
What we have inside of us we should give to the children.

KLARA [The children] are not just here to have fun or
to laugh and be glad and go home but they are here for a purpose: we
have to teach them things that will never be taken from them, eternal
things. We decided to
pray more and to say, “God, please, we want that our work not to be
temporary but for eternity.” And
we have prayed a lot for this. Now,
I remember these last times before we go to the village we now pray and
one of our heart’s desire for all the team is “God, please make the
children to get your word and when they grow up not to forget the
faith.” Time after time we
see this as a need and God has put on our heart that this is very
important, the most important thing of this ministry that we should put
on them eternal things. |

ARIAN:
I am seeing every day many changes in their lives.
They are going every day with the word of God.
And I believe that even though we have been working hard and
seeing changes I still believe that there are things to be improved and
more progress to be made but this is a very good beginning. If you think
that there is only two years since we started this ministry … I
believe that we are doing a good job and I believe there will be more
progress in the future. The
children will be growing with a new spirit, according to the Bible and I
see that this new spirit is entering into their own families.
And I believe it will be better in the future. |
