Albania Winter 2000

     For Albanian ladies, Valentine's Day is as important as a day on the beach. All the people express their love, all the people receive their love; the entire country is one great heart. The ladies in the picture illustrate great hearts. 
     Three years ago our farmer friend George from New York stopped for a visit in a village home and found two young girls bound in wheelchairs. George shared Christ's love and His sacrifice for them and they came to know the Lord as their personal Savior. 
     My Valentine's visit was to give them some red candy, a hug, encouragement and drop off some literature. (They love to read anything spiritual).  Inside those crippled bodies are big believing hearts. They live out their faith not limited by wheels but by how far their faith will take them.  With joy they can't contain they quote scripture, ask Bible questions and maybe give away a pair or two of handmade socks on any visit.
     Big smiles have a lot of room for a lot of joy. Big hearts have a lot of room for a lot faith. I wanted you to see some Albanian love! I wanted to share with you the picture of two girls locked in a little village because of a crippling disease and also to show you two girls who will be in Heaven------- without wheelchairs.
