Hello and greetings to you
all,
It has been quite a week to "get back in the saddle
again"! It's not that things are going bad. In fact, things are going very
fine. We have just felt that maybe everything could get done if we could
just cut out eating and sleeping. They are rather time- consuming events in
our day. The last time we sent a message was just before we left for
Christmas. Much has happened since then. Things went well over the holidays
and we had a blessed time with our family celebrating the birth of our
Savior and Lord! Just shortly after the new year,
David returned to Albania
while I stayed in Green Valley a little longer with
Hannah until she returned to school
in Kentucky on the 11th.
David did a fairly good job entertaining 4 guests by
himself 'til I arrived on this past Wednesday. Our guests are doing various
projects with the Bright Star Team in the
village programs. We have seen many things transpire, even knives and
flaming torches being juggled! (this is for real, too!) There is never a
dull moment here in Albania! Staying in the village last night gave us the
opportunity to do some more house visits and to spend some great instruction
time with the Team.
We are enjoying having David Hartwig and Greg Mathis
here with us. They are directors of our church camp near Peoria.
They have been providing discipleship lessons and giving us some quality
times of discussion on Christian issues that affect our leadership
abilities.
Tomorrow is a full day of going to church and
attempting once again to make it to a mountain village to deliver some
Christmas packages. Last week there was over a foot of snow on the road and
the police had it closed.
Tuesday, Greg and David will be leaving and then Jesse
(the juggler) and his wife Sarah will continue to minister to the children
until they leave on Friday.
Please keep us in your prayers for us to maintain our
stamina and to show forth his love to the people here.
Blessings,
Sarah for
