You probably are asking, “What is so
different about this picture?” What you see is a small, narrow road in
snowy Eastern Europe on a sunny, mild afternoon. In case you haven’t
noticed, the road is blocked, (the snow had been too heavy,) the car is
stuck, and I’M NOT PUSHING! It’s difficult to document the events, be a
good sport and a good fellow at the same time. (By the way, my shadow is at
the lower left and when my shadow hit the car, it moved!)
All of us traveling on life’s road individually come to spots that are
slick, blocked, or seemingly impassable. We can suddenly be seized with
anxiety, stopped for the moment in that road and ask, “What can I do?” Or
we can patiently wait on the Lord who has promised to be with us through our
trials and help push us back onto life’s road and travel towards our goals.
“Let us then approach the throne of
grace with confidence so we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in
our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 (NIV) |
