January 2004 will be completed in just a
few more days. How does it happen so fast? Here in Albania the days just
seem to fly by. Now our guests have returned home and it is down to
business once again.
The
Bright Star Team has been working hard this week preparing a new
curriculum. Our focus this year is to get to know each child on more of an
individual basis. Therefore we wanted a program that would give us a format
to divide the children up into small groups. The theme of the new program
is to show that we need to know more about God than just “knowing who” he
is. The team will be emphasizing what it means to hunger and to thirst
after God. We are excited about this series of lessons and trust that each
child will see and experience the truth of God’s word and how it can relate
to them personally.
Tomorrow we will be spending our time in
Vlashaj and will stay there
overnight. The children’s meeting is on Saturday morning. Then it is back
to Tirana for the children’s meeting later in the afternoon. It has been
raining non-stop for the last 2 days and so I hope that the conditions
aren’t too adverse in the village.
This is it for now. We will try to get
another update after we have used the new program in the villages and let
you all know how it goes.
