Planters would
like to introduce you to our newest staff members in Albania.
Genti and Shpresa Proseku are going to be in charge of the girls'
training center in Vlashaj.
They have lived in Albania all of their lives. Genti was born and raised in
the capital, Tirana, and Shpresa originates from a town in northern Albania
called Berali. They have two children, Esther age 6, and Elio age 2.
Genti
and Shpresa accepted Christ soon after Communism fell in 1991 when Albanians
were free to believe in God. Genti received his Bible training from Swedish
missionaries in the early 90's and has been a pastor of the Word of Life
Church in Tirana for nearly 10 years. Genti and Shpresa believe that God
has burdened them for starting new “works” for the kingdom. Therefore with
this opportunity to reach out and begin a new work in the village, they felt
God’s calling to help Planters with the work in Vlashaj. Planters is
thrilled to have them joining us and is excited for what God will be doing
through their ministry to the villagers in Vlashaj.
