We
live in a world of decay. Material things break down, become obsolete, get
stolen or change in value. That change in this world is inevitable. Billy
Graham once said, “People change, fashions change, and conditions change,
but God never changes.”
When we erected our sun porch this past November in
Vlashaj, little did we
realize how quickly this change takes place. Our newly purchased steel,
just days old from the foundry, has now turned into rusty limbs. As they
say here, “Silence has a voice and words.” Quietly over two months, rust
has silently attacked our blue steel. The steel is now in a state of
deterioration. Because of rust you can see our paint crew with its
preserving paint. We value the building only for its function in the
ministry, realizing that “we are not to lay up for ourselves treasure on
earth where moth and rust destroy.” Matthew 6:18. |
