Tonight, Friday, Nov.12, we host our first village "coffee." On
our day of visits in
Vlashaj this past Wednesday, we invited five families to come for a
coffee (note that we will not be serving Turkish coffee--we have been
advised that it will too late in the day for that caffeine rush). The
open house is from 5:00 to 8:00. There could be as many as 30 people in
our 10x10 living room. This should be close fellowship. Besides close
fellowship we should be in the dark since 5:00 to 7:00 is when they cut
the power to the village every evening. Anyway, we are looking forward
to getting to know the families better and to let them know that we have
something to share with them, mainly our love for the one and only
Savior of the world.
Please pray that this time will be effective and these families will
notice and receive our interest in them. Often times for such a
gathering as this in the village there will be interruptions by the
unforeseen. May this not be the case for this special evening.
