In modern military terms
one could say, "The target is acquired."
"The location is pinpointed," they would say and the "system is functional." That's a
modern military. In the village, they just throw a rock.
Three Marikaj boys came running to
the ministry center: the ambushed, and two of his bodyguards. With a
glancing but painfully accurate throw we could see where the rock had
connected. Panting, but in fluid and graphic reporting, the caretakers
explained how the older boys acquired some territory (a small bit of alley)
and allowed no trespassers. Claiming his right of passage, the
shortest route home, the abused went a foot too far and was quickly driven
away by a rain of rocks. Keeping their territory made the older boys
the champion until an even older set of boys arrived. It's a great
schooling for warlords.
Now with a bleeding wound,
Armand's first aid kit was pulled from the van for our victim. You
can see by the pictures all turned out well! It's just part of a day's
work with kids.
