Personally
It’s harvest time once again. For us it is the best time of the year as it probably is for
the majority of farmers. Reaping
the fruit of one’s labor has a very gratifying sense of accomplishment.
But besides the gratification of harvest, fall signals to us the near
departure for a winter in Albania. Hopefully
in early November we will be on a plane and back working with the Bright Star
Team. This winter we desire to see
the village centers become more user-friendly so that we will even be able to
stay overnight in the village. This
has been a long-time dream.
Our family is doing well except the fact that David is still recovering
from a shoulder injury that happened this summer and is having some minor
adjustments with his diabetes. Cydil
and Nathan continue with their masters’ studies and directorship of Asbury’s
World Gospel Missions Student Center. Jenny
and Seth are doing great in their work in Vermont and are proud owners of two
collies, Fran and Abe. Hannah is
now living with Cydil and Nathan and attending school at West Jessamine High School in conjunction with the
Asbury Connection program on Asbury College’s campus.
Yes, that makes us empty-nesters.
That takes us up-to-date and we’ll catch you next time in Albania, Lord
willing!
David and Sarah
