Bright Star Announcement (March 2001)
As with any business, church or child,
growth takes place and changes are constantly being made. The same goes
for PSF. PSF has taken a different course of direction. Oh, yes, of
course, God has still burdened our hearts with the rural villages. It is
just that our focus has become more directed. Instead of making home
visits in eight villages, now we have selected three of those villages
to do weekly Bible Clubs with the children. Planters has named this
program Bright Star.
Bright Star’s vision is to become the shining
light of Jesus to all the villagers in Marikaj,
Vlashaj, and Kasalle.
Bright Star desires to be the evangelical beacon in these villages that
don’t have any spiritual guidance. The agricultural emphasis is now
more of a common bond with the village people rather than a means to
gain acceptance. Many of the Sower Team members have joined with us in
phase two of the work. Some may be new to most of you (see new members
article). We are excited about the wonderful response we have already
received from the people. Other Sower Team members continue to work with
Julie and George Holmes making visits to the other villages. More news
of what is happening will be forthcoming. |
