What does the Bright Star team do in each
village?
Answer: PSF’s Bright Star team organizes a Kid’s Club meeting for
the children of each village. They will sing songs, have a Bible story, play
games, learn memory verses, and make a story related craft. It would be very
similar to what our churches would call “Sunday School”. These clubs are
held in each village once a week and will last about two hours. If there is
time, they will make a visit to a home of one of the children that attends
the meeting.
How do you enlist team members?
Answer: We find team members
through the contacts we have in evangelical churches in Tirana. Also, there
have been several team members join us through referrals from friends of
ours. When pastors, or friends in certain churches tell us of a young person’s
desire to further the gospel to village children, we interview them, put
them through a trial period of village work and then select them as a Bright
Star member.
Why the new format for the newsletter?
Answer: Over the years (since 1994) our newsletter has evolved both
in style and size while maintaining our original “Sowing God’s Seed in
Albania” theme. The latest editions have come from the refinement of about
a year’s research into digital technology and reproduction. The new
digital format allows us greater versatility for web page design, power
point production and compact disc storage of pictures. Since we can do these
in the home office from start to finish, we have been able to cut costs yet
maintain quality control.
