Soloist

Nervously she moves the microphone from hand to hand. Then with her voice leaping to the occasion, the entire audience of village children enjoy the scene. The simple, clear, gentle song draws everyone to smile in encouragement.

Her song of praise is like a mirage in a Catholic village, an oasis of opportunity before our eyes. Imagine listening to "Jesus Loves Me" accompanied by sheep and haystacks. Imagine singing as an occasional older woman leads a tethered cow home from pasture.

God has given us these village settings as times to present Him supreme. As laborers for Christ, some of us are there in person, others of us are thousands of miles away. God has used all of our gifts to place our little soloist beside Bright Star team members. He has blessed this ministry because His Word, sung, taught or memorized still awakens all to joy and miracles.

Every time you help the ministry you allow another small voice to spill down a remarkable trail or light up a community center! Your thoughtfulness remains fresh to these children every time we use the currency of His love.
